FocusXD is a lightweight macOS menu bar application that helps you focus by dimming background windows. It operates entirely on your device and does not interact with any external servers, APIs, or services.
This Privacy Policy explains our practices regarding data collection — or rather, the complete absence of it.
None. FocusXD does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data whatsoever. Specifically:
FocusXD does not require any form of registration, login, or user account. There is no sign-up process. You simply download the app and start using it immediately.
All your preferences (blur intensity, tint color, opacity, color presets, and launch-at-login settings) are stored locally on your Mac using macOS standard preferences (UserDefaults). This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us or any third party.
FocusXD does not integrate with, use, or communicate with any third-party services, analytics platforms, advertising networks, or external APIs. The app functions entirely offline.
FocusXD does not require an internet connection and does not make any network requests. It does not access the internet in any way during operation.
Since FocusXD does not collect any data from anyone, it is inherently safe for users of all ages, including children under 13. We comply with COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act) by simply not collecting any information.
If we ever update this Privacy Policy, changes will be reflected on this page with an updated revision date. However, given that our core principle is to collect no data, it is unlikely that this policy will change substantially.
