Terms and Conditions

1. Acceptance and capacity

You must have legal capacity to enter this agreement. If you use TranslateXD for an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind it. These terms supplement the terms of the store or platform from which you obtain the app.

2. What TranslateXD provides

TranslateXD is a native macOS app that can capture microphone audio, system audio or both to display real-time translations in a floating window. It can also save history, optionally sync it through Apple ID and provide chat based on each translation's content. Some functions require Internet access, system permissions, a third-party account or a subscription.

3. License

We grant you a personal, limited, revocable, non-exclusive and non-transferable license to use the app on Apple devices you own or control, subject to these terms and Apple's Usage Rules. The app is licensed, not sold. You may not copy, redistribute, sublicense, sell, reverse engineer or bypass technical measures except where the law expressly permits it.

When distributed through the App Store, the Apple Standard EULA also applies. If these terms conflict regarding Apple's obligations, the applicable App Store terms control.

4. Responsible use and consent

You are responsible for using TranslateXD lawfully and obtaining any consent required before capturing, transcribing or translating other people's conversations. Recording and listening laws vary by country. Do not use the app for covert surveillance, rights violations, harassment, discrimination, fraud, illegal content, service interference or bypassing technical limits.

5. Free plan, trial and subscriptions

The free plan may include a daily limit. The Premium trial, its length and included features will be shown before activation. Purchases and renewals are handled through Apple StoreKit at the local price displayed by the App Store.

• Payment is charged to your Apple account when purchase is confirmed.
• Subscriptions may renew automatically unless cancelled through Apple ID settings within Apple's stated timeframe.
• You can manage or cancel subscriptions and restore purchases through Apple's mechanisms.
• Refunds, taxes and billing are subject to Apple's rules and applicable law.

We may adjust limits or features of future plans. Material changes will be communicated where required and will not remove rights already acquired.

6. Automatically generated translations and chat

Transcripts, translations, titles and chat replies are produced by automated systems and may contain errors, omissions, delays or incorrect interpretations. Chat receives the active translation as context, but may summarize or interpret it inaccurately. Do not use these outputs as the sole basis for medical, legal, financial, safety or emergency decisions. Always verify important information with a qualified person or the original source.

7. Third-party services

Translation, chat, history storage, authentication, subscriptions and other components depend on OpenAI, Google Gemini, Apple, Supabase and infrastructure providers. Their availability and data handling are also governed by their terms. We do not control third-party outages or changes, although we aim to keep the service operational.

8. Intellectual property

TranslateXD, its design, software, brand, content and materials belong to danielatik or its licensors. You keep any rights you hold in your conversations and content. You authorize us only to process them as necessary to provide the function you request.

9. Availability, warranties and liability

The service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, error-free service or completely accurate translations. We are not liable for indirect damages or lost profits, data or opportunities arising from use or inability to use the app where such exclusions are lawful. Nothing here limits non-waivable consumer rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded.

10. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the app at any time. We may suspend access for breach, security risk, fraud, abuse or legal requirements. Termination does not remove accrued payment obligations or provisions that by their nature should survive.

11. Changes, applicable law and disputes

These terms may be updated when the service, its features or applicable legal requirements change. The current version will be the one published on this page together with its effective date. These terms will be interpreted under applicable law without limiting any non-waivable consumer rights. Any dispute will be submitted to the courts or competent authorities determined by that law, after first seeking a direct resolution through the contact channel below.
